Instructor: Scott Kramer

Scott has worked in the telecommunications industry for the past 20 years.  He’s worked for Cendant Corporation, AT&T, and America West Airlines.  At Cendant, Scott worked extensively with the Route It! application and toll-free services implementations.

He started his career in telecommunications as a technician pulling cable and installing phones, key systems, and computers for America West Airlines.  As a technician, he also administered the PBX and managed large move and installation projects.

Working for AT&T, Scott gained experience in sales, technical support, and training.  He trained account teams similar to the ones that support your company.   He designed, presented, sold, and implemented the full spectrum of AT&T network services.  It was at AT&T where Scott took advantage of the opportunity to put his abilities as a trainer to use.  His last several years at AT&T were in a position where he provided on-going training and support to the entire sales branch on the many AT&T systems and tools that the branch members utilized.

At Cendant, Scott was a Regional Telecommunications Manager responsible for a team that supported the telecommunications needs at three call centers in the western United States.  He gained hands-on experience with the Avaya Definity, CMS, Intuity Voicemail, Conversant IVR, Route It!, Cisco ICM (Geotel), and several other technologies.  Scott was a “working manager,” meaning that, in addition to his management responsibilities, he stayed involved and performed many of the same tasks that his team members performed.

Throughout his career, he has enjoyed training and mentoring many individuals who have been on his teams.  He enjoys the challenge of breaking down complex technical subjects and teaching them in a way that anyone is able to understand.  He has experience performing one-on-one training, small group training, and executive presentations to a variety of audiences in the corporate environment.

Scott’s method of technical training is unique in that he never uses acronyms or technical terms without first defining them.  He also firmly believes in learning through student participation using interactive activities and demonstrations.

Scott has a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business from Arizona State University.
